R2Energy, a company specializing in the comprehensive development of renewable energy projects, has joined the Polish Biomethane Organization (POB). This step highlights the company’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy technologies and strengthens its position in Poland’s renewable energy market.
R2Energy – A Leader in the Renewable Energy Sector
R2Energy is a rapidly growing company based in Warsaw, with a branch in Zabrze. For years, it has actively contributed to shaping Poland’s renewable energy market by managing projects from lease agreement signing, through obtaining necessary permits, to final installation construction. Initially focused on large-scale photovoltaic projects, the company has expanded its expertise to include other renewable energy technologies.
To date, R2Energy has secured over 1,500 hectares of land for photovoltaic projects, obtained grid connection conditions for projects with a total capacity exceeding 175 MW, and is developing energy storage projects with a capacity of over 1,000 MW. Additionally, its green hydrogen projects have a production capacity exceeding 6,400 tons per year.

Founded in 2022, the Polish Biomethane Organization brings together industry experts and representatives of leading fuel, energy, and heating groups operating in the domestic market. Its primary goal is to develop the biomethane market in Poland, accelerating the energy transition and reducing dependence on imported energy resources. Biomethane, as an ecological and renewable fuel, can play a crucial role in enhancing Poland’s energy security while supporting decarbonization and the development of rural areas.
