The Polish Biomethane Organization (PBO) was established on 6 September 2022, gathering industry experts and representing companies active in the fuel, energy and district heat sectors in Poland.
- We advocate for the development of the biomethane industry in Poland.
- We support the interests of company members at the national and international level.
- We promote the positive impact of biomethane production on reducing Poland’s dependence on imported fuels.
- We aim for energy security by building a strong and robust biomethane sector.
BIOCH4 is a proud member of the European Biogas Association, representing the interests of biogas stakeholders across Europe.
Our goals
To support the development of the biomethane sector in Poland which can play a pivotal role in accelerating energy transition and reducing Poland’s dependence on imported fossil fuels.
To facilitate supportive policies that provide best organizational, regulatory and technical solutions for energy transition fostered by biomethane.
To work on the introduction of biomethane definitions in national legislation, as part of the legislative process.
To support the needs of companies interested and active in the field of biomethane.
To advocate for a quicker development of policies enabling the development of the biomethane industry.
To support the interests of companies active in the “green gas” sector at the international level.
